Spring 2026 Seminar Series Schedule

By AMPS Communications
AMPS Community Center set up for a community seminar on electric vehicles

Free Community Seminars — Spring 2026

Aha Macav Power Service (AMPS) is planning a series of four free community seminars this spring, designed to answer your questions about electric vehicles, home charging, fleet operations, and the financial incentives that make EVs more affordable than ever.

Whether you're EV-curious, already driving electric, or managing a fleet, there's a seminar for you. Dates will be confirmed — check back for scheduling updates or contact AMPS for details.

Seminar Topics

  • "EV 101: Is an Electric Vehicle Right for You?"
A friendly, no-pressure overview for community members who are curious about electric vehicles. We'll cover how EVs work, what it's like to own one in the desert, real-world range expectations, and total cost of ownership compared to gas vehicles. Bring your questions — no question is too basic.
  • "Home Charging Setup"
Thinking about charging at home? This seminar covers what equipment you need, the difference between Level 1 and Level 2 charging, typical installation costs ($500–$1,500 for Level 2), electrical panel requirements, and trusted electrician recommendations in the tri-state area. We'll also discuss the federal 30C tax credit for home charging equipment.
  • "Fleet Electrification for Tribal Operations"
For tribal fleet managers, department heads, and decision-makers. Learn about the total cost of ownership advantages for fleet EVs, available electric vans and buses, charging infrastructure planning, grant funding for fleet electrification, and how other tribal operations are making the transition.
  • "Incentives & Rebates Workshop"
A hands-on workshop to help you navigate the maze of federal, state, and tribal incentives for EV purchases. Bring your laptop or tablet — we'll walk through applications together, including the federal Clean Vehicle Tax Credit (up to $7,500), Arizona and California state rebates, and tribal-specific programs. Staff will be available for one-on-one assistance.
